England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the this year's Young Athlete of the Year award.

These three athletes have been recognised for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a unprecedented innings.

Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The shortlisted athletes were revealed during a live broadcast on a national radio breakfast show.

This year's winner will be revealed live on the prestigious sports ceremony show on the 18th of December.

The show will be aired from 7 PM GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the last eight and last four matches.

These match-saving moments led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Later in the year, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the best young player in Europe.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

The year started for Littler in spectacular fashion as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, smashing the previous record.

"To receive a nomination for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a proud moment for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and burst into the spotlight with an remarkable and historic innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be shortlisted for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it motivates more young females to get into cricket."
